Exterior Covering

Early in the building process of a structural house you have to decide what type of exterior covering you want to use.  This could be brick, vinyl siding, masonite, cedar, etc.  Before you married, you had to make a decision that you would turn to daily in your marriage - 'will I love my companion unconditionally?'.  In other words, will you place agape love as the exterior covering of your marriage.

In making the discussion of enclosing your dream home with agape love, you must answer several questions about the exterior covering you are thinking of choosing. 

• First, can I justify an investment in agape love?  Yes!  God loves us with an agape love, thus 'we also ought to love one another' (1 Jn 4:11). 
• Second, does agape love provide insulating protection for my marriage?  Oh, yes!  In 1 Corinthians 13:8, it says that 'love never fails'. 
• Third, what about the long-term maintenance costs?  If you nurture love daily, deciding to keep it fresh and anew there will be no major costs. 
• Fourth, how do I measure agape love?  Look at the examples given by God & Jesus Christ themselves. (Jn 3:16, Isa. 53:4-6). 
• Fifth,  how does it react to temperature change?  In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, you see that agape love does not react but is steady throughout. 
• Sixth, what kind of warranty does agape love carry?  It carries an everlasting one. 
• Seventh,  will agape love scratch & show a different color?  You must be saturated with God's love - agape love - not just surface coated! 
• Eighth, will my love look as good years from now as it does today?  If you nurture it daily, it will look even better.  It appreciates! 
• Ninth, can my love withstand harsh weather conditions?  Yes!  1 Corinthians 13:7, Love endures all things...and love is a DECISION not a feeling! 
• Finally, can I install agape love myself?  Definitely not.  Agape love comes from God. (1 Jn 4:7-8).

Remember, the words from 1 Corinthians 13:13 - "But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love."
